Make a Leather Phone Case

9:30 am – 5:00 pm
Make a customised leather case to fit your phone. I’ll show you how to cut holes for the camera, add a pocket, sew in a flexible spine and then sew it all together. We’ll be using a combination of British, Italian and Spanish veg-tanned leather of different colours, so you can choose the right look for you and your phone!
Let me know which phone you have so I can order the silicone insert that will hold your phone securely. We’ll rivet this to the inside back of your phone case and cut a camera hole in the leather.
Make a Leather Book Cover

Come and make a leather cover for a notebook or sketchbook.
First you’ll choose from a variety of soft Italian or British leathers of different colours – brown, green, amber, natural, red and blue.
Next I’ll show you how to cut and sew the leather to make a simple cover for an A5 or A6 book.
I can provide you with a blank sketchbook, or please feel free to bring your own book to cover. Maximum size is A5. There should just be time to make and add a strap and press stud to hold the book cover closed.
Make a Robust Leather Belt with a Solid Brass or Steel Buckle

Learn how to make a solid leather belt and never have to buy another again!
You’ll be able to choose from a variety of of thicknesses of leathers depending on how solid you’d like your belt to be. It can be either brown, black or left naturally un-dyed. There’s also a choice of buckles – solid cast brass or stainless steel. Both leather and buckles are made in the UK.
At the end of the day you’ll walk away with a beautiful item to keep your trousers up or hang your tool pouches from!
All the above courses run for a day and cost £100. This includes all materials (except a sketchbook, which costs £5) and a vegetarian lunch (homemade soup, home-baked sourdough, cheese and salad).
Maximum of 4 participants per day.
Unfortunately we are not wheelchair accessible and our toilet is upstairs. Please let me know if this could be an issue and maybe we could work out using a different venue.
If you’d like me to provide you with a different course, tailored to your individual needs then I also offer one-to-one tuition at a rate of £300 per day.
I can also work with groups for experience days. Please email me to discuss what’s possible.
