Description
Which Colour?
The oak leather I use (see below for more about this) comes in three different stains, as well as the natural, undyed “russet” leather.

Which Buckle?
Choose either brass or stainless steel. I prefer the brass buckles, unless you go for the black leather, then stainless steel’s my favourite. Actually all combos look good!

How Wide?
The widths are based on the buckle sizes, which are 1 inch, 1.25 inches and 1.5 inches. My most popular size is 1.5 inches, which fits most trousers. However if this is to be worn with dress trousers then I would recommend 1 or 1.25 inches.

How do I know what length to go for?
The best way to get the size right is to measure an existing belt that fits.
Measure from the most used hole to where the buckle attaches to the belt.
I’ll add 3 holes either side of this hole. And I’ll cut it off 8 inches beyond your hole, unless you tell me otherwise.
Let me know this length in inches please!
The minimum and maximum lengths are 25 – 41 inches. If you need a longer or shorter belt then drop me an email or Whatsapp. Happy to help.
Extra Keep?
Some people like to have a second keep (the little loop of leather that stops the end of your belt flapping around). I’d be happy to add one to your order. Just tick the box above.

Good for the Planet
I think there are 3 good reasons why buying one of my belts is the right thing to do for our environment:
- I believe that buying local helps to reduce our carbon footprint.
- The leather I work with has been tanned using natural ingredients and processes, having a very small impact on the beautiful surrounding countryside of Devon.
- Buying something that will last many years reduces our waste. Plus, you’ll save money in the long term!
Durable and Local
Not only will these belts last decades but all the parts come from the UK*
The Oak Leather – tanned in Devon from English cowhide using oak bark, sustainably harvested from coppiced woodlands in Cumbria and Wales. I use the bridle leather, which is coated in waxes fit for wearing outdoors. It comes in at 5 mm thick, which is chunky and feels really strong, like an oak!
If you’d like your leather to be thinner then let me know – drop me an email or Whatsapp.
Solid Cast Buckles – The buckles are cast in the Midlands from solid brass or stainless steel – both very robust and stylish.
*The thread actually comes from Germany, which is still pretty local. Plus, a small reel goes a long way!
