Hello everyone!
If you’ve stopped by the shop recently, you might have noticed things were briefly on pause. I’ve just returned from a wonderful, multi-week break away from the leather world, and I am feeling incredibly refreshed, inspired, and deeply blessed to have had the opportunity to take this time out.
My travels took me on a beautiful mix of far-flung adventures and peaceful retreats closer to home. First, my son and I crossed the Atlantic to visit friends in Ohio, USA, helping with woodland crafts courses. Then Kath and I headed to the stunning coastlines of Pembrokeshire, Wales. Finally, Kath and I wrapped up our time away with a tranquil, grounding stay right on our doorstep in Coniston, Cumbria.
Along the way, I was treated to some of the most spectacular skies – I couldn’t resist capturing a few to share with you below.

I also spent part of my trip staying in a gorgeous, hand-built cob house. There is something so magical about natural, earth-built structures, and it was the absolute perfect sanctuary to unwind and recharge my creative batteries.

Shop Update & Customer Messages
With my feet firmly back on the ground, both my website and Etsy shops are officially open again!
If you got in touch or sent a message while I was away, thank you so much for your patience. I am currently working my way through my inbox and will be responding to everyone very soon.
Looking Ahead (and This Weekend’s Show!)
I am so excited to get back to the workbench. I have a busy season ahead, and I can’t wait to get stuck in:
- Building up fresh stock with some new ideas inspired by my travels.
- Preparing for upcoming courses (stay tuned for dates!).
- Getting ready for summer shows.
In fact, my very first event back is happening this weekend! I will be trading at the fantastic Green Fayre at Beacon Country Park. There will be lots of woodland craft demonstrations, real life vikings walking around and local gifts. More info on the Green Fayre website.
Where: Beacon Country Park, Beacon Lane, Upholland WN8 7RU
When: This Saturday and Sunday, 18th & 19th July 2026
Time: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM both days
If you are in the area, please do come on down, enjoy the park, and stop by my stall to say hello. I’d love to catch up, show you what I’ve been working on, and share a few more travel stories in person!
