I was asked to repair the cover and case for this rifle scope. Some stitching had disintegrated, the verdigris buildup meant the scope didn’t fit the case anymore, the retaining strap was on its last legs and the retaining strap’s loop had disappeared years ago.






So, I set to unpicking the stitching, cleaning the brass and restitching the cover.

I then reinforced the strap and made and attached a new loop.



And here’s the completed case and cover. Ready for another 100 years of use.
